We communicate the Good News by participating in people's lives, trying to respond to their legitimate needs. We send and visit missionaries to help them in their work - getting to know a new culture and actively reaching out to people living in Eurasia.
For over 70 years, the communist authorities tried to mold all nations into one perfect, homogeneous Soviet society. Their artificially created Soviet culture imposed the Russian language, communist ideology, an atheistic worldview, the celebration of Soviet festivals and the eradication of authentic local traditions.
Millions of people live in the vast steppes and high mountains of Central Asia and the Caucasus. There are still more in the other parts of the former USSR. All these hundreds of millions are searching for a purpose in their lives, for their place under the sun in the new world order.
The indigenous people groups today are looking for spiritual inspiration from their pagan past or from early Islam. The Russian people hope to find purpose in traditional Orthodox Christianity.
We have a strong desire to help the hundreds of millions in Central Asia, the Caucasus and the other parts of the former USSR in their search to discover their destiny – both the earthly and the eternal one. Our desire is to point to those elements of their cultures that will help them understand the Good News about Jesus Christ.
We communicate the Good News by participating in people's lives, trying to respond to their legitimate needs.
