Festival Konvergencie (Convergence Festival) is an international chamber music festival and cultural organization founded in 1998 by renowned Slovak cellist Jozef Lupták. What began as a concert series evolved in 2000 into an annual international festival and has since grown into one of Slovakia’s most respected independent cultural institutions.

Today, Konvergencie presents an internationally acclaimed chamber music festival, year-round concerts, educational programs, recordings, publications, and interdisciplinary artistic projects. Beyond performance, we actively contribute to Slovakia’s cultural and civic life by promoting dialogue, creativity, openness, and democratic values.

Over the past 27 years, the festival has earned a reputation as one of Slovakia’s most inspiring and artistically significant music events. It is recognized for its exceptional artistic quality, innovative programming, and openness across musical genres, artistic disciplines, generations, and cultures.

Konvergencie serves as a creative platform where outstanding Slovak and international artists meet, collaborate, and develop new artistic projects. We create meaningful encounters between musicians and audiences, believing that the most profound musical experiences emerge from authentic human relationships, trust, and communication.
